See How They Run by Ally Carter (Book Review)

——-Inside every secret, there’s a world of trouble. Get ready for the second book in this new series of global proportions–from master of intrigue, New York Times bestselling author Ally Carter.

Grace’s past has come back to hunt her . . . and if she doesn’t stop it, Grace isn’t the only one who will get hurt. Because on Embassy Row, the countries of the world stand like dominoes, and one wrong move can make them all fall down.

The twists get twistier and the turns get even more shocking in the second thrilling installment of Embassy Row. ——–

The Good
This book had very positive morals and lessons that I took away from the story.
*Never be naïve, something might look one way, but really be totally different.
*Keep calm in hard, stressfull situations.
*Accept friendship, even if you don’t think you like the person…Just BE A FRIEND.
It also had influences of family, close sibling relationships, having someone’s back, being brave, having courage, etc.

The Bad
If it does bother you, there were several uses of the words idiot, stupid, ghosts (not descriptive or creepy at all).
AND there’s quite of bit of violence, so if you’re sensitive to that, you probably shouldn’t read this book. There were a few light kissing scenes, but it didn’t become anything more than that.

The Ugly
This book had a distasteful love triangle. ******SPOILERS**** I really didn’t like it when Grace started becoming closer and closer to Alexei. I’m sorry guys, I just really don’t like him! And then the end?? EW. Talk about major stalker/murderer. I totally saw that coming. He’s creepy to me. Noah. Noah please all the way. ******SPOILERS END*****

My Thoughts
And lastly, my own personal opinion. I really liked this book! I still very much enjoy all of Grace’s inner struggle just like I did in All Fall Down. She seems so real. *******SPOILERS****** OK. Seriously, talk about Ms. Chancellor! She’s so tough and epic. She’s slowly but surely becoming my favorite character. Also, the whole Society, ruins on island, Spence mystery, prime minister dead, Lila and Grace working together….It’s all written super intricately! I think the world building in the Embassy Row series is the best ever. Some of my favorite scenes were with Princess Ann in the castle, when secrets were starting to reveal. The Night Of A Thousand Amelia’s and the song: talk about some intense chapters! I was breathing fast and on the edge of my seat!! The ending was SUCH a cliffhanger. *****SPOILERS END****** Anyway, even though I really enjoyed it, this book had a REALLY slow beginning for me. I felt like either I wasn’t connecting to the characters or maybe it was the whole love situation thing. BUT, it did have the BEST last 150 pages or so, and I’d much rather it be a slow beginning and an epic ending rather then an epic beginning and sorry ending. So, yes, I recommend this book! I can’t wait for the third book! Ally Carter, you’re amazing!!
