Weary Mom, know that you are Loved.
Weary Mom, know that you are enough.
Today I want to give you hope for the future and tell you what you are doing is right.
This is not the end of the road, you have many things that are beyond this diaper, this tantrum and this teenager. I hope you know that you are not alone. There are so many moms out there that are going through exactly what you are.
I give you permission to not be ok.
It is ok to be a work in progress and not have it all together. Everyone has their own things that they are working through. As long as you are running your race and learning, reject all the condemnation that you hear and choose to believe the truth.
The truth is that you are a blessing to your children and spouse. You make an impact in the lives of those who are around you. Choose to see the good.
Find someone older and wiser than you and be vulnerable. Ask them questions and advice, be willing to change. I want you to know that this is not a forever issue.
What you are dealing with right now will pass. Purpose in your heart to get what God wants you to get out of this season. There are things that you can work on now that you will not have to deal with later.
What you learn now will impact all of what you will do with the rest of your life. It is vital to be fully in this season even in the challenge of it. Be moldable and don’t give up.
You are valuable. Treat yourself like a treasure.
If you need help, ask for it. Learn about yourself and what you need to thrive. Find out things that fill you up emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Do those things so that you will be the best you can possibly be for those who are around you.
Finally I want to share with you what you are doing right.
You are making a difference in the lives of those precious children that God has gifted you with. You have the privelege of shaping future leaders.
You are helping to form them into who they will be.
Look for the good in them and help them see the love you have for them. You are already amazing. The way that God made you is perfect. He planned for you to be this way and he said you are very good.
Thank you for what you do. I am inspired by you.
I am going to leave you with a quote that I think will be a blessing.
“ I maintain that if we really understood the Kingdom of God, people would be lined up with resumes in hand for the privilge of working (with children) – for an hour to hold these little ones – when you have this chance to shape their lives. But no, everyone wants to reach adults. Frankly if you wait until thay are adults the cement is dry. “
